I need to stay with F43 for some time, when F44 will be released.
Is there a way to configure gnome-software to not jump on F44 ?

Just do not click on the “update now” button. That’s it. If you not hit this button everything stays as is.
quiet clear, but that would prevent the updates for F43 too (assuming there are one until F43 goes EOL (Dec. 2026))
so this isn’t a usefull solution !
I refer to the button in the header, the announcement that the new version is available … the rest is as usual.
This can’t be right. F44 has not been released yet, Why is gnome software already offering an upgrade?
I have to move to my 43 system … just a sec.
Might have been a test. A vanilla F43 VM did not show anything reg. F44 upgrade.
I guess it shows the message to test the prerelease … we talked about that once … but it is the same with the prerelease … do not click on the top banner “upgrade now” button.
you should read again and understand(!) the the first sentence and there esp. the second part
ok. then ignore…
Staying on a previous Fedora version doesn’t prevent updates to be proposed by GNOME Software, they still get prompted and can be installed automatically or manually, based on the update settings in Preferences.
Is this Workstation or Silverblue?

Hi @sixpack13
Your system will stay on F43 and keep updating it, unless you choose to update to F44. This will be quite clear in the UI, so don’t worry ![]()

This could be a bug. We have seen something similar in the past. Just ignore it and keep ingnoring it until F43 will turn EOL.
I know.. But in this case, it was a misunderstanding on my part. I missed the ‘when f44 will be released’ part.
