Computer not responding after suspend

Hi there,

I installed F42 (clean install) on a desktop computer (AMD TR 1950X, Nvidia 1070TI).
By default it ended up using nouveau.
But I noticed some freezes then remembered Nvidia was not enabled.
Then I installed Nvidia (RPM Fusion method) and the freezes seem gone.

But now, after the computer suspends after some inactivity I’m unable to resume it..

This only happens sometimes (not after every suspend - but it seems to appear after longer suspend periods)

I also noticed some weird things with my computer, like some USB ports not working for my keyboard or mouse and then changing the port fixed it.. But later I had to change again..

So not sure what’s going on..

I also installed windows on that computer (on a different disk - so not really dual booting but just selecting disk on bios boot) and I didn’t experience hardware issues.. So I don’t think I have hardware issues..

After a problematic suspend I’m hitting the reset button to reboot (obviously loosing anything not saved)..

How can I investigate and potentially fix this issue?

Will dmesg give me relevant information? I was thinking that this will not show what happened on the previous session though.

Any directions will help?

Thanks!
