Problem In Fedora 44 Workstation (GNOME), the system should inform you about a prepared system update in the reboot/shutdown dialog, and run the update process afterwards. However, it fails to do so, which means the system won’t be automatically updated just by regularly logging in and rebooting/shutting down the system - you need to manually trigger the update process instead. People were getting used or even trained to install updates when shutting down after being done for the day. Now, f44 knowingly introduces this regression. Why?

How likely is it that a zero-day fix will land for this? It sounded close per Workstation ticket #509.

An update is already proposed. I updated the common issue.
