Click and hold back button behaves weird, does not correctly focus cursor

The firefox back button does not behave correctly when you click-and-hold.

If you hover over the back button you’ll see a help message

Go back one page (Alt-Left Arrow)
Right-click or pull down to show history

With Fedora 43 the behavior of “pull down” has changed (see below why I concluded it is Fedora43). Normally, while holding the mouse down you can go over the back history. You can release the mouse on the history item that you want to go back to. But you don’t see any history item being highlighted. Weird. If you have more than 4 history items you’ll see that the mouse is about 4 items lower than what is being highlighted.

How do I conclude it is Fedora 43?
I have several PCs and laptops (work and home) with Fedora. I first started noticing on a Fedora43 system. The other systems were still Fedora42. This weekend I upgraded my home PC to Fedora43. Now I have this weird behavior on that system too.
I also tried a complete fresh user on Fedora43. This new user has the problem too. So, it can’t be some extension causing it.
I also tried Ubuntu24. There Firefox behaves normal.
I tried Firefox ESR tar on my Fedora43. This also has the problem.

Can anyone else confirm this behavior?
BTW The Forward button has the same problem.

What desktop are you seeing the fault on?
Workstation Gnome, or KDE?

KDE, F43, Zen browser based on Firefox 150.

Seems to work as expected for me, although I confess, I never use it.

Gnome

I wanted to upload a screencast, but it doesn’t allow me to attach a .mp4

Just now I see that this issue was already reported
