I manged to install Fedora on a Chromebook (IdeaPad Flex 5) and after some fiddling everything is working fine, including sound and with the power profile daemon installed the battery life is good. I even managed to remap the Chromebook ‘function’ keys to work in Firefox for for reload, back, forward and the others for increase/decrease brightness, zoom, activities view, and logout.
There is just one thing a I did not manage: Since Chromebooks don’t have a delete key I wanted to use ctrl+backspace as the “Move to Trash” shortcut for the Files app (Nautilus).
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface can-change-accels true
is not working and using d-conf Editor does not work as well
ctrl+backspace can be used for other things (Keyboard settings) - so it is not the key or the shortcut.
Since I can’t change any other shortcut I have to assume that this is no longer the correct way to do so - but I could not find another working solution.
So, what am I missing? Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
