The Budgie desktop environment for Fedora and EL8.
Installation Instructions
Installation
sudo dnf copr enable stenstorp/budgie
Press Y to allow.
Install:
sudo dnf install budgie-desktop
Recommended packages
sudo dnf install nautilus gnome-terminal gnome-system-monitor arc-theme arc-icon-theme gedit
A collection of applets are now available as: budgie-applet-[name]. They can all be installed at once by installing the budgie-extras package
sudo dnf install budgie-extras
EL8 Specific
Development Packages on EL8
The powertools repository will need to be enabled in order to install budgie development packages on EL8.
sudo dnf config-manager --enable powertools
Building Budgie on EL8
Some build dependencies for budgie-desktop are not (yet) available on EL8. These packages are available in the budgie-dependencies copr repo.
sudo dnf copr enable stenstorp/budgie-dependencies
