Typically when you want to use the discrete gpu to start an application/game you can use 2 methods
- To launch the the Steam Game with discrete graphics

DRI_PRIME=1 %command%
- On Gnome Desktop we have
switcherooctl -
switcherooctl launch steam <steam id>
