Some of my previously-working flatpak programs (for example Spotify and telegram-desktop) fail to launch after the latest system update done via the GNOME software utility.
When run from the command line, it seems like they’re trying to access the root directory (?)
igor@fedora:~$ flatpak run com.spotify.Client
error: opendir(/): Permission denied
igor@fedora:~$ flatpak run org.telegram.desktop
error: opendir(/): Permission denied
igor@fedora:~$
Why would they need to access the root directory, and why did all of this happen so suddenly? I’ve tried updating, rebooting.
Thanks for any suggestions
The verbose logs of both programs don’t really show anything meaningful. Leaving them in just in case.

Was the flatpak installed as a user or using sudo?
The flatpaks were installed as a user (myself). I did not run any flatpak-related commands as root, except for sudo flatpak repair
trying to fix this mess.
The issue seems to have spread to all of my flatpak apps after a reboot. I cannot launch well, anything now. Every flatpak exhibits the same behavior.
