Can't boot live fedora 43 or 44

I’m booting from USB on a ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I Gaming WiFi with Security and TPM disabled and using a NVIDIA 1080 Ti.

fedora live 43 and 44 starts to boot with information scrolling across the screen and gets stuck half way.

fedora 44 live beta however booted to desktop but crashed every time I hover over a icon in the panel bar. Crash has been sent. I don’t want to install this OS. Just to test and fail to all.

P.S. I could not boot Bazzite 43 live but can boot Bazzite 43 straight to installer and after Bazzite installed, it booted up just fine. Still with the same display glitchy with lines going across when booting from HD that fedora 44 live beta did from 44 beta.

I just want to test but fail. That as far as i can get to testing. :upside_down_face:

All seems to point to NVIDIA 10xx issues. Sorry I can’t afford a new GPU.

Note that f44 is to be released soon and with that will come the nvidia 595 driver (presently in rpmfusion-nonfree-updates-testing for f44)

The nvidia 10xx cards will not be supported on the 595 driver but you can install the 580xx driver from the rpmfusion-nonfree repo for f44.

The 580xx driver is intended to continue support for the 10xx nvidia cards (and others for which the 595 driver drops support) for the foreseeable future.
