Cannot wake computer from sleep mode with keyboard or mouse

Computer is a Dell Inspiron 3543.
Running Fedora KDE 42
If I put the computer to sleep, only the power button wakes it up, neither the laptop keyboard nor wireless mouse will wake up the computer.

Keyboard shows up as “AT Translated Set 2 keyboard” connected to “isa0060/serio0/input0”, which is not a USB device.

That is how it should work, mouse works only when computer is not in suspended state.

Out of interest, does opening the lid on the laptop, when it’s been put into sleep or hibernate, awaken it?
