Cannot use some functions of extensions.gnome.org: "Your native host connector do not support following APIs: v6"

Problem

Currently, in Fedora, some functions on https://extensions.gnome.org will not work even after installing the browser extension. The site will show a warning:

Your native host connector do not support following APIs: v6. Probably you should upgrade native host connector or install plugins for missing APIs.

This should not prevent you installing extensions that are marked compatible with your current GNOME version.

Cause

The cause is as the site says - the “native host connector” portion of this mechanism (which is part of Fedora) needs to be updated. However, this has been delayed as the name of the project changed upstream, which may mean we need to rename the Fedora package also.

After you update your system in your usual way (and possibly reboot), you should no longer be affected by this problem. If the problem persists, please start a new discussion topic and we’ll help figure out what’s still wrong.

The problem has been fixed with the release of a new package called gnome-browser-connector (there are links above for individual Fedora versions). Just update your system as usual and it should get installed automatically (or you can install it manually, if that doesn’t happen). You can also follow the official GNOME guide. After this, installing and managing your GNOME extensions through https://extensions.gnome.org should work without issues.
