Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked

After I did a reboot my machine says Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked.

If I boot from live iso the btrfs is not mounted and I seem to have no access to the / device.

Do I have to reinstallt Fedora 43 Budgie?

I followed these steps:

  • Boot from LiveISO
  • in Disks mount the LUKS encrypted disks
  • mount the now accessible BTRFS devices
  • on the now visible /root folder recreate the etc/fstab from backup

Lesson learned: Always good to have a backup of /etc
