Cannot extend /root partition

I got Fedora dual booted with windows and I’m trying to extend the Fedora partition but I don’t understand why it doesn’t work.

I’ve shrunken the windows partition and moved my boot partition to the start of the unallocated space, but I don’t have the option to either move or increase the space of my fedora root partition.. ?

Can anyone explain why and how I am supposed to do it?

I’ve done whats suggested in this thread but I don’t understand what the difference is on my system vs this and why I cannot extend my partition.

In your screenshot, are you running from a Fedora Live ISO as suggested in the thread, or are you running inside your on-disk Fedora install?

(I wouldn’t expect the “Mount Points” in the screenshot to be the way they are, if this was from a Live ISO.)

Ah.. You are right.
I did launch from live iso when I resized but I guess I either missed that it was now possible to move my root or it required a reboot..

Either way it works using Live Iso, Thanks!
