sudo fwupdmgr reinstall
and
sudo fwupdmgr install
and then it is asking you do you want to reinstall it
@verolomstvo i guess this has something to do, how HP/HPE handles capsuled Updates. Perhaps it is disabled in your system. At least a such switch exist on my Dell Computer in the UEFI (BIOS).
if capsule update is prohibited in the BIOS:
fwupd may place the capsule update on the disk, restarts your Computer but your UEFI Firmware ignores them and just deletes the file.
fwupdmgr can’t determine if a update processes succeeded or not in this case. that’s why you’ll see the update again.
but again; it’s just my guess, i’m not an HP expert .
