Good day to everyone.
I’m trying to build Xanmod kernel 6.11 on Fedora 41 and everything was going fine, I’ve managed to build with “make binrpm-pkg” and install .rpm packages
kernel, kernel-devel and kernel headers and boot to the newly installed xanmod kernel.
But here is the issue: when I’m trying to install Nvidia driver from RPM-fusion with command “sudo dnf install akmod-nvidia” the installer fails because of absent the package kernel-devel-matched. So my question is: how to build this package?
The RPMFusion RPMs are built against the Fedora Kernels.
If you build your own kernel then you will need to build the nvidia drivers against your kernel.
What feature of the Xanmod kernel is missing from the Fedora kernels?
Thank you for your reply. Yes, now I totally realized that.
The wake up from suspend on my laptop doesn’t work, I’ve tried apparently all possible solutions and I was hoping the Xanmod kernel will solve the problem.
