I have two monitors right beside each other which have built in speakers through HDMI. I was just wondering if there was a way to use both of the monitor’s speakers at once, with left channel audio for the monitor on the left and right channel audio for the monitor on the right.
Maybe you could do something like that with Helvum? I don’t know. I’ve never tried.
Are the quality of the monitor speakers good enough? Because you can get a decent 2.1 system for probably $35. Also a lot of people these days choose to use a small class D amp with small speakers for the desktop.
LOL. I just found my 2.1 Labtec system on Ebay but the guy wants too much for shipping. But they do sound good for what they are. Best of luck…
good idea.
I think, in general, it could be done with a virtual sink that routes FL to FL input of the left monitor and FR to FR input of the right monitor.
They are quite good. I normally use headphones but I was just wondering if I can make the most out of the setup I’ve got.
I don’t have a lot of time right now to really get involved into configuring things but just from playing with it for a while I can’t find a way to make it do what I want. It won’t display both of my monitors at the same time, although I could make it play through my DAC/AMP and one of my monitors speakers at the same time, but I could not control volume.
As I said, it’s not something I’ve attempted. I just thought that tool might be able to do that sort of thing. I could be wrong. Sorry if I wasted your time.
