Hi Folks,
Has anyone experience with implementing protected Integrity Hashes on snapshots.
Fedora with BTRFS seems pretty awesome on the face of it.
Many thanks

Hi,
This question might be too technical for this forum, as it could relate to the on-disk format and future features.
On Fedora we’re currently using the upstream default hash algorithm (applies to metadata and data), CRC-32C. There is an issue to consider XXHASH.
Btrfs also supports fsverity.
Btrfs will support fscrypt, patches are under review.
There’s an idea for implementing integrity hashing via incorporating an HMAC into all hashes. I’m not sure about the status of this.
