Boxes as QT theme or anything else

is there a way to get boxes to use QT style or is there similar decent vm that follows QT themes as flatpak

virt-manager is nice, and it should follow the system theme. If you already have VMs in Boxes, you can use them easily in virt-manager: just click File > Add Connection... then select QEMU/KVM user session in the Hypervisor: menu and click Connect, then existing Boxes VMs should appear. Otherwise for creating new VMs you’re probably better off using the default system session.

Some people (including me) have had problems getting the flatpak version to work, so you might need to install natively.

Thanks kind of figured this even before posting, but just wanted to make sure… I wish boxes gets QT version it is just so good and simple minimalist and does what I need

I guess virt-manager flatpak is only fedora repo can’t find on flathub

Virt-Manager as Flatpack | errors

Both a Fedora flatpak of GNOME Boxes as well as getting the QEMU user session to work normally in virt-manager requires getting qemu and the libvirt daemons to build and install as flatpak builds. The necessary changes are extensive, but I do have a local proof of concept build of both apps that are working. It will take some work to clean up, submit, and get my patches merged, but it does seem doable now.
