Hey guys, I’m using Fedora Silverblue (upgraded to pinned 30) on my Razer Blade Pro 2018. On normal Fedora, the Beats Studio works fine, but on Silverblue it isn’t. I can however connect my Logitech MX mouse without any problems.

Checking the bluetooth service, I’m getting this:

systemctl status bluetooth

● bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)

I check rfcomm but the rfcomm -a returns nothing.

The kernel is 5.0.0-300.fc30.x86_64 and I’m with secure boot disabled. The bluetooth service finds the phones, but it doesn’t setup or connect.

I don’t have other headset to test…

Dmesg shows nothing related to bluetooth or errors.

Problem solved:

Reinstall the system with fedora 29, configure the bluetooth, than upgrade to 30.

does anyone has a fix that does not involve reinstalling the system.
I can pair my headset… but the new device never show in sound settings as output device (or input device for the mic).

I’ve had some issues with bluetooth audio devices on Silverblue (both 29 and 30) - typically the issue I see is once the headset is paired, it fails to connect sometimes (especially when the connection is initiated from Silverblue, but also sometimes when initiated from the headset). Generally I find some combination of turn bluetooth off/turn headset off/sleep laptop/wake laptop/turn headset and bluetooth back on/initiate connection typicaly seems to resolve it… reliably enough that I haven’t dug further into the issue myself at the moment
