I just updated my laptop, and when I boot with 7.2.4 kernel, I’m not able to activate bluetooth at all, but if I use kernel 7.1.13 then I’m able to see bluetooth.
My laptop is ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506HM. Any ideas on how to get it enabled on latest kernel as well?
Until then, I’ll be on older kernel so my stuff works.
Never mind, restart worked after running sudo dnf upgrade again.
A couple of days later, I’ve got 7.2.5, and now it is not working again, in 7.2.4 as well. Looks like there is some additional issue in some power state.
Running
inxi --bluetooth -zxx
says no bluetooth data found.
Same is the state with bluetoothctl as well.
I tried using systemctl status bluetooth.service
● bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service

It says it is running, but I still cannot find any bluetooth devices, and it doesn’t turn on. Trying the toggle, it switches back to off state after a while.
However, if I shutdown completely, wait about 5-10 minutes and turn it back on without the charger plugged in, it works. But after sleep it goes off again.
If I start the laptop with charging on, then also it doesn’t work. I believe this has something to do with kernel regression, because it starts working properly in 7.1 kernel.
