Bluetooth Not working in Fedora 34

It should be enough to simply install all updates and reboot.

@superadmin Bluetooth subsystem appears to be getting quite a few changes recently. I think some people are working on bringing in enhancements. But unfortunately, it might have broken a few things. I personally don’t know to go to catch the latest on that discussion. I’m following the Redhat Bugzilla ticket too. (and stopped my kernel updates for the time being!) Hoping it gets resolved soon.

Upgrading to kernel 5.13.7-200.fc34.x86_64 fixed the bluetooth issue for me.

@ddddff but not for me :slightly_frowning_face:

@jetstream is problem resolved for you?
I mean Previously I tweaked some commands for my bluetooth to work

I don’t know what this command does but did I do something that made my bluetooth still not working??
I mean some user have their bluetooth working and mine is still the same so…

No mate, problem’s not gone away. But not blocking me as I don’t use bluetooth on the system. It runs just as a server.

Those errors are popping up on the log, but I am ignoring them and staying with kernel-5.12.18-fc33

You might try the newest kernel 5.13.9 on F33.

simply sudo dnf downgrade bluez,
then pair your bluetooth device,
then upgrade by using sudo dnf upgrade bluez.

I think the problem lied in kernel
because when I upgraded this kernel to latest the problem was fixed itself

Would you please mark the appropriate solution to your issue so others will have a trail to start with if it comes up again?

Hi !! @jakfrost
Sorry for that

I have had kernel issues before in
Kernel: x86_64 Linux 5.13.4-200.fc34.x86_64
for Bluetooth particularly

This was the kernel where many users faced similar issues and next update had all the bugs fixed

I know that does not soothes the heart of who are having bluetooth issues. But a tip to anyone who are having issues.
First check if there are anyone who had similar issues before
80% of the time it is likely that the similar problem issues exists before
if you think that its totally new then
open up a new thread giving a details of your problem
We are there to help you

Hope that helps

Have a great day
