Bluetooth headphone does not connect automatically

I have couple if wireless buds and i have seen this that when i connect this with my phone just turn on bluetooth and turnon headphone will automatically connect to that.where as for my laptop ruining fedora if i turn my bluetooth on and buds on i need to open settings and tap on the device to connect it does connect but does not do automatically how i can fix this.?

My Sony Bluetooth headphones manage device switching through their own firmware (Smart Switch via the Sony app), not via OS-level controls. To help understand your issues, I’m wondering:

  1. Does Fedora (via PipeWire or bluetoothd) influence which paired device the headphones auto-reconnect to after powering on or disconnecting from another device?
  2. Is there any way to define preferred or prioritized reconnect behavior on the Fedora side?
  3. Could there be conflicts when the headphones are trusted/paired with multiple OSes (e.g., Android + Fedora)?
  4. Are there PipeWire or BlueZ logs/settings that show whether Fedora is actively trying to reconnect or getting refused by the device?
