Bluetooth failing to connect to devices (Fedora 43)

Hello all,
I am extremely new to linux, and decided I wanted to try fedora to try and move away from windows (using this computer for a gaming/movie server).

Setup generally has been fine with some expected hiccups and troubleshooting, but bluetooth in particular is giving me hell, and I’m not sure what to do to fix it. I’ve followed tutorials online around restarting (through bios as well), reinstalling and manually connecting through the console, with no luck.
Basically what is happening is the bluetooth window will find my device fine, but when trying to connect, I get a failed to connect error with an option to “retry the wizard setup” which doesn’t seem to do anything. This is what I get in the console when trying to connect manually to my bose speaker:

[bluetoothctl]> scan on
SetDiscoveryFilter success
Discovery started
[CHG] Controller E4:5E:37:5F:5A:F4 Discovering: yes
[NEW] Device C8:7B:23:C2:5D:68 Bose Mini II SE SoundLink
[bluetoothctl]> pair C8:7B:23:C2:5D:68
Attempting to pair with C8:7B:23:C2:5D:68
Failed to pair: org.bluez.Error.ConnectionAttemptFailed
[DEL] Device C8:7B:23:C2:5D:68 Bose Mini II SE SoundLink

The troubleshoot pages I’m reading don’t address this and are a little outdated, so I’m unsure of what to do from here.
Mind you I would consider myself tech savy, but still likely will need a bit of hand holding. I can follow instructions real well though! Thanks in advance for anyone possibly able to help troubleshoot this with me. Fedora is great so far otherwise!!
