Black screen on restart & boot

I have intel i5 9600kf which has no integrated gpu, i think it is the problem, what do you think?

i tried nomodes etc. but no help so far.
i have to unplug monitor power cable and plug again for it to work, it is so annoying for 5-6 years…

edit: the problem occurs on all distros, execpt Windows
edit2: few years ago, i installed linux on the same machine with hdd, instead of m2 ssd, and problem was fixed but i want m2 ssd to work with linux.
edit3: tty2 mode and sudo reboot work flawless, problem is in only GUI i guess
edit4: 120hz with hdmi port, there is no problem. 144hz and dpi port has the problem

It sounds like power management. Have you tried turning off power management for your display?

On X11 systems xset -dpms might work.

Since you are using the radeon driver, adding radeon.dpm=0 to your kernel parameters might work disable display power management at a lower level.

unfortunately, still same. the problem occurs on wayland as well

You might try radeon.aspm=0 in addition to radeon.dpm=0. I’m not sure which would be the right one to use.

still same. i had this problem on nvidia gpu as well. i can’t even turn off monitor from the monitor panel, it does not even work when this screen comes

my problem

first code

second one

In that case, it sounds like the monitor is the problem.

Also, changing that config file isn’t enough to update the kernel parameters. You should do it via the boot menu’s interactive configuration just to test them out. They will show in /proc/cmdline if you have them set properly.

i guess so, tty mode working with shutdown and reboot commands, i will try to use them

I had to have some basic knowlage about boot parametres because of this problem in the past so I did sudo update-grub after changing the file but I shoul’ve try interactive menu first, as you said
