When i launch my games in Steam, I can hear the game audio and all but the screen is just black with only the cursor visible.
I tried switching between proton hotfix, proton experimental and latest proton nothing fixed the issue.
My steam is up to date.
My laptop is Gigabyte g6 kf 32gb ram, rtx 4060.
Nvidia version
$ modinfo -F version nvidia —> 570.144
Games i tried playing
Luma island
Counter strike 2
Is someone else having same issue?

-Update–
Launched steam through terminal and found that it uses inbuilt graphics as default gpu although nvidia gpu usage goes 100% on game launch.
followed this and the game worked
- Go to your Steam Library.
- Right-click the game you want to modify.
- Select “Properties” from the context menu (even if the main menu says “Settings,” right-clicking a game in your library should show “Properties”)
- In the window that opens, under the General section, you’ll see a box labeled “Launch Options”. and enter the following
__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia __VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only %command%
