Black screen approx. 20 seconds after waking from suspend

Hi,

I am using an Asus Vivobook with Fedora Workstation and I am experiencing the following behavior after waking the laptop from suspend:

  1. I wake the laptop from sleep.
  2. After about 20 seconds, the screen goes black and the keyboard backlight turns off.
  3. This happens even if I am actively using the mouse or keyboard during those 20 seconds.
  4. The system is not frozen; moving the mouse or pressing a key immediately turns the screen and backlight back on.

My “Screen Blank” setting is set to a standard duration (e.g., 5 minutes), not 20 seconds.

System Information:

Laptop:Asus Vivobook V3607VU
CPU:Intel Core 5 210H
GPU:NVIDIA RTX 4050 Max-Q
Fedora Workstation 43

Any ideas on why this is happening? Thanks.
