Black screen after luks prompt

Hello ,

i am having an issue with booting my laptop (thinkpad w540 librebooted kde) i have done an update i think that may have caused this issue.
i tried to boot to recovery and i edited the grub config and removed “rhgb quiet” and it went to text mode so i know that my luks partition is okay (hopefully) but after it boots it just displays a black screen and i cannot enter anything with my keyboard. if i hold the power button to turn it off i see the fedora logo flash once more . i really desperatley need a solution to this i am willing to offer a helpers fee as i use this computer for all of my finances…

please can somebody help me with this i would really appreciate it and i will compensate you if you can find me a solution

It’s probably an issue between the kernel/driver and your hardware (likely your video card). Did you try one of the older kernels in your Grub boot menu?

As a last resort, you might try adding “nomodeset” to that line that has “rhgb quiet”. That should cause your video card to run in “basic graphics mode”.

If you think nice thoughts and be good to the the creatures around you that is all the compensation we can accept.
