Black horizontal stripes across the screen at 60hz (in bios and bootscreean as well)

Hello! I am new to Fedora Linux. After installing (fresh) the distribution and connecting my main monitor (2k 170Hz), black horizontal stripes appear in the lower half of my screen.

This also appears in the BIOS and on the operating system boot screen. However, if I set the refresh rate to 120Hz or higher, the stripes disappear.

I use two monitors in total, but this error really spoils my user experience. The video card was separately checked on Ubuntu and Windows - there are no stripes in the BIOS or the system. I use a video card from NVIDIA RTX 3060 (12GB LHR). The driver that was installed was installed automatically during the first system update.

It only appears directly on the screen - so i cant make a screenshot. Monitor is ok as well and tested on other firmware

How can I fix this? I am attaching photos in advance. Appreciate your help.

This seems to imply that you are using the nouveau (open source) driver.

If you were to install the nvidia drivers from rpmfusion it probably would solve the issue.

Additionally you seem to have already stated one obvious fix.
You are using 60 Hz and the monitor supports 170 Hz. The problem disappears when using 120 Hz or higher.

Use a refresh rate the monitor supports properly.
