[BETA] KDE Plasma 6.8 Beta (6.7.90) is ready for testing!

Hello Everyone!

I have just finished building the KDE Plasma 6.8 beta in copr and in rawhide.

Of course, the usual disclaimers regarding installing betas apply: Installing the KDE Plasma 6.8 beta may result in some instabilities! You do so at your own risks!

Now, with the usual disclaimers out of the way, and you wish to install it on Fedora 44 or 45, head over to Making sure you're not a bot! and enable the copr. Do note, on Fedora 45, you’ll need to update with --allow-vendor-change.

(Do note: Plasma 6.8, beta and final, will not be made available on Fedora 43)

Has anyone tried it yet? I have built the snapshot for my Fedora 44, but I’m still kind of scared.

It’s rather glitchy. I would not recommend installing it on your main system. Also, for those still using the x11 launcher, it’s 100% gone now.
