Battery status does not change

Hi,
When I click on the power saver or performance mode, the battery status does not change and remains on the balance mode!
What is the problem?

Could you please give us more info’s as :

inxi -Fzx in terminal and post the output as </> Preformatted text here.

On the balanced mode it works more or less? Or did you try to change because of the problem “status not change” ?

Have you checked if there is a newer Bios/Firmware on the HP Website?

The battery works more in balance mode and I can’t use power saving mode (or performance mode).
There is no new firmware for Linux on the HP site.

Does this happen since you installed or just since an update to a newer kernel recently?

I think this has happened since kernel 5.18 :thinking:
