Autologin does not automatically unlock gnome keyring anymore

Since a few days ago, autologin does not automatically unlock the keyring on my Fedora Silverblue 44 system. I am using full disk encryption and autologin makes it so I don’t have to enter my password twice, or at least it used to. When I open an app, eg. Gnome Web, I get a password prompt (which I can dismiss). This happens every time I open an app until I enter my password. The prompt does not appear until the next reboot.

I do not remember messing with any settings recently, so I assume this is caused by a recent update. Anyone encountered the same issue?

The very same started to happen on my WS 44 system as well a few days ago. I got LUKS encryption with autologin, previously configured in a way that I only had to enter my password once, but after some recent system updates my gnome keyring does not get unlocked anymore. I tried to run sudo authselect select sssd with-pam-gnome-keyring with-silent-lastlog --force but nothing changed.

Same issue here. Fedora workstation 44. I tried to undo autologin and then redo it again, but it didn’t help.

Found a bug report here. Gonna keep an eye on that.

In logs only sus thing I see is

The workaround mentioned in the GDM bugtracker works for me: replacing pam_gdm.so with pam_systemd_loadkey.so in /etc/pam.d/gdm-autologin.
