Hi! This issue started happening very suddenly, but I think it started after I installed an update of some component through Gnome Software. Anyways - every time I boot, majority of the apps I open just won’t display their GUI’s at all, both Flatpak and RPM apps. After a few minutes I get a message that “webkitgtk quit unexpectedly” through Problem Reporting. I tried downgrading “webkit2gtk4.” package a few days ago, that didn’t help. Installed a newer release of it that came out recently and that also didn’t do anything.
After I reboot - the issue usually goes away and everything works as it should, but I’d prefer to not do this every single time.. Maybe it has something do to with Nvidia? Because before I upgraded it’s graphics driver to 595.80 - I was also having an issue with rebooting in addition to the one that I just mentioned. Laptop would just hang on a black screen every time I rebooted it through normal means, and I had to do a cold shutdown to get rid of it. It got fixed after I updated the driver, but nonetheless - these two problems have occurred at the same time.
Let me know which logs I should provide for you to make sense of it.
First the output of inxi -Fzxx so we can see the hardware and driver config.dnf history list --reverse so we can tell what recent packages may be installed/removed.
Identify the apps that are causing the issue so someone else may test similarly.

The way you posted that makes it unreadable.
I did exactly that. I’m not using the default terminal, maybe that’s why formatting is off. I can try and trim it by hand.
For some reason GSK_RENDERER=cairo won’t even work as a command if that’s what you meant. My terminal itself works, Firefox and some other apps too for whatever reason.
That is not a command per se.
If it makes no difference when used on the command line then do not expect a difference by putting in in the launcher (service) file.

I have - they were awful. however, it’s trivial to post text as PG has demonstrated. It also means the site can index the output, it#'s searchable, we can copy and paste it ourselves and so on.

I’ve already edited my initial reply. Had to pull up a built-in terminal because Ghostty messes up any lines I copy and paste from it apparently.
Can confirm that the rendering issue still fixes itself after a cold reboot, but only until I turn off the laptop, after that it comes back again.
Just tried putting WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 into /etc/environment and first GSK_RENDERER=gl, then GSK_RENDERER=cairo, and neither of those made any change after reboots. The laptop struggles to even power off properly, just shows the Fedora logo and progress circle underneath, then gets to a black screen and becomes completely unresponsive, just as it does on reboot. Now I have to do a cold shutdown/reboot every time.
Downgrading Nvidia drivers back to 595.58.03 doesn’t do anything either. It seemed like the problem was gone after the initial reboot, but sadly returned next time I booted the laptop.
Haven’t tried downgrading to older versions.

Instead of blaming nvidia, try adding amdgpu to the cmdline blacklist along with nouveau and nova
