Anyone with AMD Ryzen 6800U?

,

How is this doing with Fedora 36? Thinking of getting this laptop:

I can only speak for 4700H/4750G/4800U first-hand and 5750 second-hand (a coworker) that it works out of box, including graphics. I would be very surprised if it didn’t work out of box for Fedora 36, but if for some reason it doesn’t, you can try one of the updated images that has a newer kernel:

That’s helpful feedback Scott. Thank you man.

Hi!

I have an RedmiBook Pro 15 2022, AMD Ryzenā„¢ 7 6800H with Radeonā„¢.

all it’s fine, except… the keyboard, its not funtion at the date. Its been fixed on next kernel . At today, 20220827, full update, still not working.

must see this:

see ya!

I just got this exact model of Asus Zenbook S13 OLED with Ryzen 6800U and I confirm that the internal keyboard doesn’t work. Everything else works fine so far: touchpad, wifi, video, sound, sleep/wake. Funny enough some of the function keys are working (e.g. screen brightness).

I managed to install Fedora 36 with the on-screen keyboard and the touchpad, but eventually I had to plug an old Cherry USB keyboard to be able to enter the disk crypt password after install :upside_down_face:. I am also waiting for a Kernel update because issue is still present.

Other than that, really nice machine.

So, I go to this:

https://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2022/kernel-60-fedora-36-nvidia/

in the second part, I just install a kernel 6.0 RC2.
Now the nvida drivers just go out (I dont mind to install from Nvidia, is out of my thinking). I wait till the next kernel release. Now I can write this post from de notebook and its fine, I can live whitout de Nvidia driver for a while…
