Bug 2414830 described on Red Hat Bugzilla on 2025-11-13. “while pressed” is more than a bug in GNOME. It’s a MAJOR inconvenience. The bug report says it affects all GNOME 49 versions. I have noticed there have been soo many updates in the last several months. It seems like even more than expected in Fedora. I’m curious what’s going on. Is the code so bad that so many updates are necessary and are updates being released without proper testing? I appreciate Fedora’s functionality and flexibility, but I do use this as a “daily driver”. I need a working system to do my work. What was the reason GNOME 49 replaced 48?
It’s not Fedora, it’s Gnome. If you want a bug free environment, get a WM like Sway.
