Those kinds of videos are just advertisements, they don’t use systems other than Windows. We’ll fix it eventually :slight_smile:

Just had a similar issue, booting into a blank screen - specifically with 6.16.9 (6.16.8 worked fine). Ended up being a boot entry I added while troubleshooting a flickering screen on my XPS. My /etc/default/grub had GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="rhgb quiet i915.force_probe=!46aa i915.enable_psr=0 i915.enable_dc=2 xe.force_probe=46aa xe.enable_psr=0 xe.enable_dc=2" and removing all those extra parameters allowed me to boot normally on 6.16.9. Changing it back to the normal GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="rhgb quiet" and updating the GRUB bootloader sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg did the trick. Would look at your /etc/default/grub or in /etc/grub.d/ to see if there is anything extra or maybe missing… Just a thought.

I am now back to a flickering screen instead of just a blank screen :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Oh well, win some and lose some.

I added and removed various parameters to GRUB, reconfigured it, and the result was a black screen. I’m still trying different things :slight_smile: Do you also have an Intel Ultra 9 CPU?

When I connect my notebook to a TV via HDMI, the display works fine there, but on the notebook’s own monitor, the backlight is on yet the screen stays black with no image. The kernel version is 6.17, and my monitor specifications are as follows:

The problem was solved when I installed the Linux kernel version 6.18.0-65.
