Hello all,
I just upgraded to F43 and I’m hitting an issue similar to the following ones:
- Black Screen after boot, SDDM restart required on F43 KDE
- SDDM not working on Fedora 41 KDE on Dell Inspiron 14 7440 2-in-1
- SDDM showing a blank screen on Startup
I’m lost in various threads and didn’t find a solution yet.
Any help would be appreciated.
My scenario is that at startup, I get a black screen with a blinking underscore, I’m not presented with a login screen. Switching to a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F2) and running “startplasma-wayland” brings me back a graphical interface.
Removing the “rhgb” in grub didn’t help.
I tried to restart sddm service but that didnt help.
