You have to enable an input-method framework:
You also could export QT_IM_MODULES='wayland;ibus'

In the System Settings, Keyboard >> Virtual Keyboard, make sure “iBus Wayland” is selected.
Maybe the Plasma 6.7 upgrade switched this setting to “Plasma Keyboard”?
