I have Ubuntu and Fedora nearby.
Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 8265 / 8275 (rev 78)

There are many chispset versions using this name, not all from Intel. You should provide the full PCI IDs for both systems:

Vendor ID:	8086
Device ID:
Sub-Vendor ID: 8086
Sub-Device ID:

Linux Hardware has: PCI 8086:24fd:8086:0010, 8086:24fd:8086:0050, … (15 entries), and a few with non-Intel Sub-Vendor ID’s. Most use the iwlwifi module, but also require an ACPI module
Linux Hardware Probe that failed fpr PCI:8086:24fd:8086:0010 on F37.
