Acer Aspire Lite Likes Linux

Bought a new Acer Aspire Lite with AMD 7430u today and installed F43 custom install (remembering to tick the Network Manager box for wifi  ) and it was one of the easiest installs I’ve ever done.
Brought in Sway WM - no probs at all. Very nice.

The brightness function keys don’t work, but audio volume keys do, as does touchpad on/off.
Camera works.
Wifi works.

[FIXED] Closing the lid also does not suspend the computer.

[Fix for F43]

    sudo mkdir /etc/systemd/logind.conf.d/
    sudo cp '/usr/lib/systemd/logind.conf' '/etc/systemd/logind.conf.d/logind.conf'
    sudo vi '/etc/systemd/logind.conf.d/logind.conf'

    remove # from line HandleLidSwitch=suspend

It does run Skyrim and Pathfinder though, so still a good deal.

related to your recent post where someone asked about a Lenovo notebook. I have had a lot of Lenovo notebooks, and all of the three components above have always worked out of the box. One reason for that: lots of developers use Lenovo, so they make sure the goodies are working on their machines, Acer, not so much…
