4G/LTE WWAN adapter "QTL, EM05G" (5W10V25860) and "QTL, EM05 CAT4" (5W10V25794): experiences with Fedora?

Has anyone expriences with any of the these two 4G/LTE WWAN adapters:

  • “QTL, EM05G” (5W10V25860)
  • “QTL, EM05 CAT4” (5W10V25794)

I am considering to buy one of the two for a notebook I want to upgrade with 4G/LTE. It has already integrated antenna and these two have acceptable prices and are officially supported by the vendor as well.

But it remains the question if they work with Fedora without tainting the kernel?

Any experience or thoughts appreciated :slight_smile:
