470xx RPMFusion driver on Nvidia K2100M

I recently got a Dell Precision M4800 with K2100M graphics and I have been struggling with installing the appropriate drivers. After installation from RPMFusion, the backlight is off and it doesn’t boot into the OS. I can still see the battery and drive activity lights, but there is nothing that shows up on the screen. Does anyone have any experience with this specific machine or Kepler GPUs?

That driver does not support Wayland I think.

Are you using an X11 desktop?

I changed it to Xorg on the login screen before installing the driver

Which decktop are you using?

KDE Plasma. I installed X11 and switched to but I get a black screen once I login. With Wayland I can get in, but if I run nvidia-smi, the screen shuts off and the computer stays on

Did you install the X11 version of kwin for plasma?

If not it will run as a Wayland environment.

Is xorg-x11-xinit installed?

It looks like plasma-workspace-x11 and kwin-x11 has a missing requires
