2005 Toshiba DLP Projector says "no signal"

I just wired a just received 2005 Toshiba DLP Projector to the mini dvi port of my GP66 Leopard. However, when I select “Computer 1” on the toshiba menu I have a mere “no signal” on displayed.

What makes you think a device attached to the GPU would show with lspci?

Please, detach that device then reboot. After booting, power on the projector then plug it into the gpu. It should then be seen and configured as a display device.

I assume this (from the name as ‘GP66 Leopard’) is likely an apple system so I may not be of much assistance. It is, however, very standard for linux to configure and activate display devices if they are powered on when they are connected. That may not happen if the cable is connected while the device is still powered off.

Please post the output of inxi -Fzx (with the projector attached) so we can see what hardware and drivers are active.

If it’s detected, you should see the output and supported resolutions by running xrandr
